A girl was born in 1975. Her mother was a typical housewife and her father used to work in a different city. She was the eldest child among three brothers and herself. They used to live in a village called JOGIA in Bihar. The condition of the family was not so great. They lived in a big joint family. Her grandmother never supported her in her studies. But her father fought the odds and somehow made her complete her metrics(class: 10)(NOTE:- Even completing class 10 was a big thing in those times). As she turned 17 she was married off. Then she started off her second chapter as housewife. Even her in-laws house had a big joint family. As time passed by she had a daughter and then 2 sons. By that time her mother had also settled in Kolkata city where her father used to work. She sended her daughter to live with her Nani and study in a city. Those days were very hard for her as she had to take care of her 2 children herself. Her husband also went to another country for work and visited her only for few months in 2-3 years. She sended her elder son in a boarding school and after few years she with her younger child shifted to kolkata for their studies. She somehow bought a house and admitted her children to the best school. As time passed by she married her daughter, her elder son is working as a manger in a clothing mall and her younger son is studying.... Now she with her younger son thought to start a new chapter to live a life for herself. They decided to launch a business. The product she decided is a mithai she has been preparing for years " THEKUA" . The traditional bihari snack and Prasad of the greatest festival of bihar " CHATH PUJA" . The name of our brand is  " SAMRIDHI KHASTHAWALA " , where samridhi is the name of her brother's daughter and khasthawala is derived from the crunchy sound of the thekua once you eat it. This is not just the story of a malkin of khasthawala but the thousands and lakhs of women standing against the odds of the society for their family and their children.
